Take a leisurely morning to soak up some of Launceston’s waterfront atmosphere (figuratively speaking!). The majority of the circuit follows the meandering banks of Launceston’s rivers and with no major hill climbs you can take it pretty easy. The ride heads off along the Elphin Road cycle way, which connects us to the North Esk River cycle track. Tracing the curves of the river it’s sometimes easy to forget you are still in the heart of the Launceston city. After a circuit of Heritage Forest we leave the banks of the North Esk to follow the Tamar River which we cross on the Kings Bridge, catching a glimpse the spectacular Cataract Gorge as we pass.
